Month three of Kerafen: my acrylic-thinned nails finally stopped peeling at the edges
T****** W******
I originally bought Kerafen because I needed something heavy-duty after years of getting back-to-back acrylics. My nail beds were paper thin and would bend if I just pressed on them. I started taking two capsules every morning with my breakfast. The pills themselves are a little on the larger side, so I make sure to drink a full glass of water, but they don't have that weird earthy aftertaste some other keratin blends do. It took a solid three weeks before I noticed any shift, but right around month two, the new growth at the base of my cuticles looked completely opaque and felt rigid. Now that I am wrapping up my third bottle, the peeling edges are completely grown out and I can actually open a soda can without pain. Even my hairdresser mentioned my roots feel a bit denser during my last trim, which was a nice side effect I wasn't specifically looking for.
